Three NYS small businesses awarded Cornell JumpStart projects for spring 2009

New York state small businesses Crysta-lyn Chemical Company, Sock Science, and Taylor Concrete Products have been selected to receive JumpStart awards with the Cornell Center for Materials Research (CCMR) this spring. Crysta-lyn Chemical of Binghamton will collaborate with Prof. Warren Zipfel, Biomedical Engineering, to analyze the company’s library of dyes. Sock Science of Walton will work with Prof. more.

CCMR 2008 POP Symposium

On May 20 and 21, 2008, the CCMR held the 19th Polymer Outreach Program (POP). The program is a networking and learning opportunity for scientists in industry and at Cornell to develop collaborative work. The 2008 program combined the POP symposium and the Green Materials symposium within the theme: Polymer Materials for a Sustainable Future. The symposium gathered 99 faculty and students from Cornell and 52 off campus guests; 29 companies were represented. more.
