CICT How to Apply

Application Deadline: March 30, 2009

Notification of Accepance: April 15, 2009

Program: July 20-24, 2009

Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
• Must teach at least one course of high school chemistry or give workshops for chemistry teachers on an on-going basis.
• New York State teachers preferred.
• Applications are especially encouraged from women, persons who are members of underrepresented groups and persons working in minority serving institutions.

To apply to the CICT program, download the application form and submit it and all accompanying materials to the CCMR office. Your application will not be considered complete until all of the following items are received in the CCMR office:

• Application Form
• School Profile Sheet
• Statement of Purpose (See below)
• Resumé
• Two Letters of Recommendation (One must be from a direct supervisor)

For the statement of purpose, please keep your answer to fewer than 1000 words. Please consider the following questions when writing your statement:

• What are your professional development goals and how do you think this summer program will help you to meet them?
• How do you envision using this experience in your classroom? How will the experience influence your classroom?
• What else makes you a good candidate for this program?

Applications and supporting materials can be mailed, faxed or emailed to the CCMR office (If recommendation letters are emailed, they must be emailed directly from the recommender's account).
