Caption This is a sample of electrospun nanofibers made from a sol-gel synthesis. Combining sol-gel synthesis with electrospinning depends highly on viscosity and 10 to 1000 Poise is necessary to produce uniform fibers. This sample was so viscous that large globules can be seen under the microscope.
