Nanoscale formation of hydroxyapatite on micro-patterned Poly(caprolactone) film. Hydroxyapatite, a natural mineral found in human bones, coated on Poly(caprolactone), a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer, has great potential to serve as scaffolds for bone-tissue engineering. Different surface patterns on the poly(caprolactone) scaffold result in different cell activity during cell seeding, adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation.
