GADDS

D8 Discover with GADDS

This versatile diffractometer is used for many types of X-ray analyses, and can be used in both transmission and reflection modes. The key to the GADDS versatility is the Bruker HI-STAR area detector. The 2-dimensional detector is ideal for doing rapid, crystallographic texture analysis of samples, including thin films. A highly collimated beam, which is focussed using a monocap collimator, allows microdiffraction to be done on small regions of a sample. Sample holders can accommodate mm-sized samples and wafers up to 4” in diameter. An automated Laser-Video alignment system allows precise positioning of samples in the instrument.
