FE-SEM: Zeiss(1550)-Clark

SEM image of a sheet of few layer graphene suspended over a trench in silicon oxide. These suspended sheets can be fabricated down to one atom thick. Mechanical resonance of the sheets can be actuated optically or electrostatically, and detected by laser interferometry, making these the thinnest resonators achievable.
