Green Materials at CCMR

The Green Materials program links innovative research developments and capabilities within CCMR to the growing needs of industry for sustainable chemistry and materials. The majority of fibers and composites used in today’s products are petroleum-based, non-renewable and unsustainable. Faculty members of the Cornell Center for Materials Research are working on various fronts both to address the societal issues and, in turn, create commercial opportunities.
