Our group's research focuses on the fabrication of nanometer-scale devices and the measurement of their electronic and magnetic properties (usually) at low temperatures.
Our primary research areas include:
- new nanofabrication techniques
- high-speed dynamics in magnetic devices
- transport through metal-nanoparticle, single-molecule, and carbon-nanotube quantum dots
- magnetic and superconducting devices
- quantum properties of defects and impurities
We also have active collaborations with the groups of Tito Abruņa, Piet Brouwer, Bob Buhrman, and Paul McEuen.
Our research group is a part of the Laboratory of Atomic and Solid State Physics, the Center for Nanoscale Systems, and the Cornell Center for Materials Research.
